"King's Peak" Typica
“King’s Peak” is a legend of Lampang, known for affinity for pure and original Typica varietal, a forgotten rare gem that is not staple in commercial cultivation due to lower yield per acre and demanding requirements. In 1950, King Rama IX discovered 3 fully developed Typica coffee plants, the only ones out of tens of thousands in the North highlands. This sparked off the Royal Initiative to grow trees to provide shade and preserve a rare breed. Today, Thailand is one of the few Typica-abundant regions. King’s Peak has a vanilla texture and natural sweetness that goes very well in both black and white espresso.
